After Your Surgical Procedure

Before you leave The Surgery Center, you will be given written instructions for your care at home.  The person signing your instructions must be at least 19 years of age or older.

After you have returned home, be sure to follow your doctor’s orders regarding diet, rest and medication.  It is not unusual to feel a little sleepy for several hours after your operation.

Do not drink alcoholic beverages, drive a vehicle, sign important papers or perform any other activities which require balance, coordination, or alertness for 24 hours after your operation.

A nurse from The Surgery Center will phone you the next business day after your surgery to see how you are feeling and answer any questions that you may have.  If we have been unable to reach you, please contact our facility.  Please note:  If your procedure is on Friday or the next day before a holiday, you will be contacted the next business day.
